In addition to being and endlessly versatile adjustable razor, the Osprey also comes in a few different styles. From finishes to knob options, there's a lot to consider. We'll help you pick your perfect Osprey.

Finishes

Machined

This is the classic Blackland finish. We tell the story of how each piece was carved from solid steel by leaving the machining pattern behind. We carefully control and plan our machining to leave a beautiful and consistent finish.

Polished

If the industrial look of the machined finish isn't your style, the timeless beauty of the polished Osprey will do the trick. Each of the Osprey's six pieces is carefully and deliberately polished by hand in-house to create a harmonious balance between performance aesthetics. Each surface requires a different treatment, dictated by its function. Surfaces that are not shave-critical like the outside of the top cap are polished aggressively to a mirror shine while other pieces like the knob are lightly polished to retain grip. The combined effect is as beautiful as it is functional.

Knob Options

Original

The Shave Level engravings on the adjustment knob are kept uncolored to match seamlessly with the rest of the razor. At the beginning of 2024, we deepened and widened the engravings for enhanced visibility. Choose this knob to maintain the seamless aesthetics of the Osprey.

Hi-Vis Black

The Shave Level engravings are colored black to further increase visibility. If you have poor vision or simply prefer an impossible-to-miss engraving, this is the right knob choice for you.

Each adjustment knob with High-Vis Black numbers is finished by hand prior to assembly here at Blackland HQ to ensure incredible visibility in all lighting environments.
