The Osprey is machined entirely from billet stainless steel and brass - even the complex adjustment mechanism. And it's all done right here in San Diego. The Osprey adjustment mechanism is all about the details and it requires absolute precision. We apply microscopic tolerances and rigorous quality control to ensure that every single piece of the Osprey is absolutely perfect. That level of precision is the only way to guarantee uniform adjustment for a dependable shave.
Embracing Machining
Each and every mark carved into the steel tells the story of the Osprey and the craftspeople who made it. Rather than shy away from machine lines, we work with our machinists to carefully craft these lines to leave behind a beautiful, consistent finish that is also functional. On the handle, we’ve increased the step over to increase grip. The knob scallops are coarser so soapy handles can still change shave levels. For surfaces that contact the blade or your skin, a much finer pattern is left behind for better precision and glide. Every surface of the Osprey demands a uniquely detailed approach depending on its specific function.

Infinite Adjustment
There's no limit to the Osprey's shave levels. Our nine level indicators are good starting point, but you're never restricted to whole numbers. In-between levels help you set the Osprey to exactly the right level for your face. If Level 5 is too much and Level 4 is too little, try Level 4.5.
Edge-To-Edge Clamping
By supporting the blade across its entire width and pinching it right at the cutting edge, the Osprey eliminates any blade flexing or chatter. This creates a more stable, predictable shave so you can always depend on the Osprey giving you the same great shaves every time.
Removable Handle Insert
The Osprey's adjustability doesn't stop at the head. With a removable insert inspired by the tuned mass damper at Taipei 101, you have one more way to to adapt the Opsrey to your needs. Keep the insert installed for neutral balance or remove it for a lighter razor with more weight at the head.
